Description
Warpfive is thrilled to launch our latest innovation – the Woodpecker Stove Fan with American Black Cherry top plate and solid copper fan blade.
This item is hand-built with carefully chosen seasoned Amercian Black Cherry wood. American Black Cherry is a sought after hardwood which is stable and smooth grained.
American Black Cherry is highly desirable due to the warm lustrous patina which develops over time. It starts out a light pink and darkens over time to a rich reddish brown hue.
After CNC machining, the top plate is meticulously sanded by hand and protected with 3 coats of Danish Oil. The oil protects and brings out the best features of each individual wooden top plate. Thereafter the top plate is completed with inlaid branding plates giving a unique, quality finish.
The Woodpecker is accompanied by an antique brushed solid copper fan blade which compliments the reddish brown tone of the wooden top plate.
The beautiful Woodpecker stove fan offers excellent performance across a broad range of temperatures. It works on any medium to hot stove surface and starts operating at 110° C (230° F).
When you use a Woodpecker stove fan you can reduce your wood usage by up to 22% and heat your room up to 40% faster.
See our Quick Guide on how to choose a stove fan.
Stirling Engine Stove Fan
Warpfive stove fans are small precision engineered Stirling engines, which are 100% mechanical and do not have any electric components which may stop working if overheated. Consequently they are extremely reliable and with care will last a lifetime.
Every engine is precision engineered and hand built with durable materials like stainless steel, aluminium, brass and Borosilicate glass. As a result they operate quietly – typically 12dB.
Advanced materials (such as graphite) and low friction bearings ensure low maintenance, plus heat flow is optimised with a silver thermodynamic heat plate.
Stirling engine stove fans have a high power output and low start up speed so they move large volumes of warm air.
Every engine is hand-crafted, assembled and tested in Great Britain.

Simon Thomas –
I have been wanting one of these for a number of years now having already owned one of the thermo electrical types. I have been fascinated by the mechanism and the beauty of the various products dithering about which one to invest in. Yes it is an investment, in British jobs and the designers and engineers that create these marvels. They are not cheap so I wanted to ensure we had the right one.
We have a MORSO squirrel with a back boiler and that does take a significant portion of the fire heat away from the stove top. We thought that as we do use the stove to boil a kettle there would be no problem with the temperature range and so pleased I didn’t try the twin speed. So far we are using the fire about every other night, and have to have the fire strong and bright or the fan either doesn’t want to go or is a bit sluggish, when the fire is bright it operates well with very little noise evident when the room is quiet if music or the TV is on you just don’t hear anything. The volume of air circulated far exceeds the little electric style.
I am disappointed, no as we knew the back boiler would take the heat, but when the fire is rev’ed up it absolutely captures me as I watch the mechanism.
Would I invest again – Absolutely!
I am looking froward to having this with us for a very long time.

We have the Woodpecker fan and it’s such a cool piece. It doesn’t blow a ton of air to be honest but it does good enough to heat up the room faster. We really enjoy the ambience it adds to the room and it’s always a fun conversation starter when people ask “what is that?”. I’m so glad we found your company; the fan design is fantastic and it’s mesmerizing to watch when in operation. We are happy we didn’t just get any old thermoelectric fan.
