Stirling Engine Design
Warpfive stove fans are small precision engineered Stirling engines, which are 100% mechanical and do not have any electric components. Consequently, they are extremely reliable and with care will last a lifetime.
Every engine is hand built with durable materials like stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and Borosilicate glass. This includes the new full metal anodised crank assembly, designed for exceptional smoothness.
Advanced materials (such as graphite) and the latest low friction bearing system, working in conjunction with a high aspect ratio fan, ensure that each engine moves large volumes of air quietly and efficiently.

This classic engine is not something you would call essential, which is exactly why it took me nearly five years to finally decide to purchase it. My first impression upon receiving it was the level of precision and the complete lack of compromise in its construction. There is a strong sense of functional beauty, where form and function coexist seamlessly. As an engineer, I have always been drawn to mechanical systems like this. What stood out to me here was not only the mechanism itself, but also the thoughtful selection of materials and the overall elegance of the design. What truly surprised me, however, was the airflow. Thanks to the torque of the Stirling engine, the fan—significantly larger than those found in typical motor-driven units—begins to rotate and produces both strong airflow and noticeable air velocity. To be honest, I was initially sceptical when I saw the airflow specifications on their web site, but after using it, I found them to be entirely convincing. The cylinder operates as a dry cylinder, meaning no lubrication is required for that part. As long as the bearings and linkage points are properly maintained with lubrication, it seems unlikely that frequent overhauls will be necessary. In my case, I initially used it under relatively high-temperature conditions, which led to insufficient lubrication and a slight abnormal noise that concerned me. However, after reaching out to the manufacturer, they provided very detailed and helpful guidance via email, and the issue was resolved without difficulty. Based on that experience, I would strongly recommend using it under moderate temperature conditions, especially at the beginning. This is not an inexpensive product, but I believe it is one you will not regret purchasing

We are very happy with both our new fans. And the email based answers to a few pre sales questions were great.
Steve Krall –
I like it except for a few annoying scratches that were not buffed out on the brass plate and the bearing holder

A superb Fan, exceptional build quality and a pleasure to watch running

Really enjoy the workings of the new fan. Love to watch the inner mechanical operations. Its an excellent conversational piece and people want to know where I purchased it from. I also have an ecofan, but I enjoy this one much better.
