Stirling Engine Stove Fan
Warpfive stove fans are small precision engineered Stirling engines, which are 100% mechanical and do not have any electric components which may stop working if overheated. Consequently they are extremely reliable and with care will last a lifetime.
Every engine is precision engineered and hand built with durable materials like stainless steel, aluminium, brass and Borosilicate glass. As a result they operate quietly – typically 12dB.
Advanced materials (such as graphite) and low friction bearings ensure low maintenance, plus heat flow is optimised with a silver thermodynamic heat plate.
Stirling engine stove fans have a high power output and low start up speed so they move large volumes of warm air.
Every engine is hand-crafted, assembled and tested in Great Britain.

We’re over the moon for this fan. It keeps our whole widebeam feeling cosy, and it’s a thing of *beauty*!

While Warpfive provides unique devices making it difficult to “compare” products, they render, like any other on-line retailer, customer service. And I can say without hesitation, they offer exemplary customer service. You contact them and they respond within 24 hours (considering the 6-hour difference between CDT-US and GMT that is no small accomplishment.). Tracking shipping (once the package was submitted to that great black hole called 3rd-party shipper) was easy and the package arrive unscathed. Finally, the product works as I expected. I could not be more pleased nor could I make a stronger recommendation. They design, build, and execute quality.

Fan is a great addition to the stove. Works perfect will be excited to see how well it holds up moving forward.
Tim B. –
Possibly a touch indulgent – but the fan is a piece of engineering art!
It runs silently, makes my office far warmer, far more rapidly and is an instant conversation starter!
Paul –
Works really well. Also looks amazing.
Tim Daw –
Looks great, endlessly fascinating and pumps the heat out from our fireplace.
Joshua R. –
Amazing build quality! I gave it to a friend as a gift and now i am contemplating installing a wood stove in my house just so i can get one for myself!
Stephanie Murphy –
Shipping transit time was excellent. Love the fan sooo quite.
Hakan Borjesson –
Very happy with my new Warp Five fan. Use it both on the wood stove in the kitchen and on the stove in the living room.
Jeroen R. –
Such a cool piece and quality

I can’t comment on this fan as it’s a Christmas present. But I have had a sidewinder fan since 2017. In all that time, and what must have been tens of millions of revolutions all without any problems whatsoever. These fans are literally the Bently’s of the stove fan world
Rory –
Super service from purchase to after sales fantastic company to deal with and the fan speaks for itself
Quality company many thanks
Christine Cook –
Great fan. Works brilliantly. Made very well, and came really well packaged and on time
Robert K. –
This fan causes my stove to heat three rooms instead of just the one. Whisper quiet and such a better option that adding an electric fan to my stove.
Andrew Touesnard –
Beautiful work

Delivery time: fast.
Packaging: sturdy.
Looks: gorgeous. 🤤
Stove install date is still a couple of weeks away but I knew I had to pick one of these phenomenal looking fans up over Black Friday 🔥
It’s a wonderfully premium looking piece of kit. I can’t wait to get it fired up and kicking out a lovely warm breeze. Took a few seconds to affix the blade, with the included hex key. I’ll see if I can edit / add a new review once I’ve been able to try it out atop a wood burner 😊🪵
Nolan Shortt –
Amazing product and i trust your engineering.
I have no complains about the fan it works very well, quiet, a talking piece and it is visually appealing. It was be ideal if there was a model fan like the one I purchased of similar dimensions but with an inch or two larger diameter as an option to be able to better take advantage of hot stove top fire places
David E. –
Great service, brilliant little stove fan!
Dana L. –
Simply love my steelhead! Efficiency at its finest! Only regret I didn’t get the glasshopper to marvel at it’s internals. Might just have to splurge for it as a second.

Once I came across these unique stove fans, I knew I had to have one. I bought the Steelhead model, which is the most basic. We’ve been running a thermoelectric two blade stove fan for a few years, from the company Ecofan. The Ecofan was as noisy as can be, the little electric motor had so much play in it that it would throw the fan off balance and make it rattle. Also the Ecofan wasn’t reliable. It seemed to overheat fast, and sometimes it wouldn’t even work. Not a very well made fan.
Now for the Steelhead fan. I was delivered to me in about 5 days, which was very impressive since I live in the US. Once I opened the box and took the fan out, I could tell there was a lot of work and care put into this little machine. Everything down to the little screws holding it together are perfect. Everything on this fan is high quality, and it’s built like an old steam engine. The connecting rods have real bearings in them, and it’s clear that this thing is built to last a lifetime, if not two lifetimes. Every time I start this fan, it runs every time, and it is very quiet. No ticks, squeaks, or wobbles. The draft from the wood stove is much louder than this fan. It has never overheated, and the more heat you feed it, the faster it spins. Once it’s running, it will not stop until it’s used every last little bit of heat down to, even past its start up temperature. It operates on a steel wood stove in a 40 foot pole barn, and I’ve noticed a warmer temperature at the other end of the barn compared to the other two bladed Ecofan. This little fan really does the job.
As an antique engine enthusiast and hobbyist engine mechanic, I admire everything about this little heat engine fan. You cannot beat something that’s mechanical, just like this fan. I absolutely cannot get over the quality of the craftsmanship of this fan. Even the directions this fan comes with are very informal and are more than enough to explain how to maintain the fan. The fan even came with a little quality check tag on it. It’s just the little things that matter and really hit home with this little engine. I am definitely thinking of buying another model for the house. Very well done Warpfive, please keep making these fans, they’re very enjoyable and functional.

I purchased this fan for my father in law. He loves it.
Mark Hughes –
I Absolutely love it.
We opted for the Stealhead fan after much deliberation.
It looks amazing when it isn’t even working.
But then when it does it’s even better.
Silent running and clearly moving the air around the room aiding in heating the whole of the house.
An expensive but well worth purchase. Buy cheap buy twice is my moto.
It’s a great talking point and like I said we love it.
Many thanks Warpfive,
The Hughes family,

West Yorkshire.
Darren Smith –
Really well made item , love the look, love the quality and happy with the price, wish it pushed out a bit more air but still glad I bought it , thanks 👍
Michael Hague –
My steelhead stove fan looks fantastic in the living room and circulates a lot of air which helps prevent the area close to the stove becoming too hot.
It’s great to just chill out and watch, and the build quality is unparalleled.
Taylor K. –
Got the steelhead and it is a sweet little fan. I have manual mills and lathes so I can truly appreciate the work that went into making it. Also I am a very mechanical person, which seeing all the moving parts is pretty cool. In my opinion this is not a replacement for the electric fan we have on our fireplace, but that is not really a fair comparison one being driving by heat and the other having a constant power source. I will say when the power goes out this fan will do exactly what we are looking for! All, in all it is impressive fan.
Andy –
Fan arrived on time and well packed, the fan is very quiet and seems to move a lot of air
Luke D. –
Customer service is excellent – they couldn’t have been more helpful with the order and sorting out the shipping. There is no getting round that it’s a special purchase but if you like engines, hand made products from the Uk and something a little bit different I would recommend just going for it.
Mandy –
Purchased this for my partners Christmas present and although there was a delivery problem with the courier, Warpfive responded quickly and efficiently in resolving. Back to the fan itself, WOW, a beautiful and well engineered product. Although not cheap well worth the money just to sit and watch it working away. Easily increases the heat flow around the room while also being a great conversation topic. Quality product at its best. Thank you Warpfive

Having had the fan running for 2 months now I am happy to share my delight at this product. The delivery was fast, the product and engineering is delightful and most importantly it moves the warm air from my diesel stove down to the back of my open plan reverse layout narrow boat and strangely enough, it even moves it backwards to the bathroom and cabin! I have no idea how but it just does. It took me a while to work out how many washers to use but I’ve got it sussed now. My only complaint is that the extra oil supplied was ruptured and leaked over the paperwork and product. It would be nice if the packaging could be updated to sort this for the future and if Warpfive would send me a replacement.
Ian –
I bought my first fan as I loved the mechanical aspects of all the engine being on view. The fan is very effective at moving air around the room and I noticed the difference between fan and no fan in terms of the temperature around the room was way better with the fan doing its thing. The company was very easy to deal with and my fan arrived well packaged within a couple of days of my placing the order. Delivery was via DPD and once I’d loaded the DPD app onto my phone, it was easy to track the package. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase. Yes it’s a lot of money but it’s worth it.

We found out about these fans because of Wranglerstar on youtube and thought they were awesome – unfortunately our house does not have a wood stove, but both of our parents houses do! So we got them for Christmas 2022, one for each set of parents (so we can enjoy them occasionally too). These fans are wonderfully made – beautiful and sturdy; the shipping was prompt and they were well packaged. I just had to share a quote from my Dad, who loves theirs: “I am quite impressed not only with the quality (and it looks cool), but the amount of air it circulates with surprising ease and no appreciable noise. Very handy to have. Thank you for making such a useful and enjoyable fan WarpFive!
John –
This is our second Steelhead fan. The first one provided us with about 10,000 hours of service as both an excellent fan and a wonderful conversation piece. The new, updated fan arrived with impressive promptness, and very well packaged. We were able to start enjoying it immediately, and it has been working flawlessly ever since. My only suggestion would be to establish a US service center to make parts/overhaul services more readily available for those of us that utilize these great little machines to the point of wearing them out. Thanks for a great product!
Jeanne –
The fan arrived in good condition. My son’s Christmas Present. He put it on his stove and loves it. I would rate this a 10.
Botebilder –
Ordered, arrived very quickly, simple instructions, worked from day 1 and hasn’t stopped. Every now and again you find something that has been properly made and works with no fuss or bother – this is one of those. Well done!
Patrick –
I ordered a Steelhead and had it shipped to France with no problem (except, of course VAT). It is used on a diesel stove on my barge, which is small enough that it isn’t necessary to add spacers to lower the heat. I am delighted with it, being well-made and stylish.
Roberto –
I saw a Youtube video by Wranglestar about your stirling engine fans and was quite taken by the design. Being an aficionado of mechanical things I had to check it out on your website. I promptly ordered your Steelhead model and it arrived here in the US within 5 days. It was supposed to be a Christmas present but I had to see it work as soon as I got it. It is a beautiful and precise piece of machinery. It runs quietly when the fan slows down it means to add more wood to the stove. It has attracted a lot of attention to itself. We have burned out 2 of the electric stove fans this should last us the rest of our lives. Thanks for a wonderful product.
Ashley & Jenny –
We’re extremely happy with our Warpfive wood stove fan. Having used a stovetop fan for many years and it needed to be replaced, we can certainly see an improvement with warm air circulation now with our new fan. And the clever engineering is fascinating.
Paul –
I am all for giving praise where it is due. The service I have received from ‘WarpFive’ has been exemplary from start to finish. Prior to ordering, I emailed WarpFive with a couple of questions regarding the Steelhead stove fan and they replied within minutes. I then went ahead and ordered the ‘Steelhead Stirling Engine Stove Fan’. From the moment I unpacked the fan it was obvious that it had been very well engineered and assembled. With Very minimal assembly on my part, I soon had it sitting pride of place on my wood stove. Within only a few minutes it started turning and as promised the fan ran smoothly and quietly. As well as being very efficient in circulating warm air, it is also intriguing to watch. All I can say is, Well done WarpFive and five stars from me
David –
I ordered this unit a little late for much use in the winter season here in Colorado, USA. Ordering was easy, and the item arrived faster than other packages from within the US. I’ve only used the unit a bit more than a dozen times, but it has worked flawlessly and is extremely quiet, the fire makes more noise than the fan. It looks to be well made and I expect to be using it for many seasons. 5 stars.
Andrew –
We received our fan very punctually and were delighted with the quality and workmanship. We have already tried it out, the performance exceeds our expectations and our visitors are fascinated with the mechanism! The service is exemplary and we would not hesitate to recommend both the product and the company.
Jim –
Just received my steelhead fan and I’m absolutely wrapped. It arrived in Australia two weeks after ordering and is more beautiful than it looked in the photos. The level of workmanship is superb and most importantly works as described. Mesmerising to watch; a welcome addition to our home.
Pat –
We are delighted with the red Steelhead engine we bought. It’s quiet with just a faint reassuring mechanical noise when going at full chat which adds to it’s charm. It is also noticeably effective in transferring heat more evenly around the house. Couldn’t be better! Thanks

I have been using a Warpfive Steelhead fan for two weeks, the build quality and design is superb, the detail engineering is so impressive. The fan starts quickly and creates a ’soft’ air flow without being intrusive, and really helps to create a uniform temperature throughout our large room (about 25 Sqm), it’s also an immediate talking point with guests. Is it noisy? our fire makes more noise than the fan and it’s quiet, the Warpfive fan is very quiet, down to precision of the engineering. Thrilled with the purchase highly recommend it to anyone
